The list of Israel’s very significant contributions is long and varied, including science, agriculture, medicine, technology, and culture. It’s essential for all lovers of these values to support and aid Israel.Įven though Israel is a tiny country which is forced every day to fight enemies who wish to destroy it along with its people, it has managed to become a world leader in many fields that work to improve the world. Protecting these values are at the core of every modern democracy. Israel is a vibrant democracy that upholds the rule of law and respects human rights, unlike all other middle-eastern countries. It is a country where everyone, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual preference, has equal rights and opportunities. Despite being embattled and needing to incessantly fight the persistent evil of antisemitism, Israel remains committed to its core values of democracy, peace, and justice.
As with all countries, Israel is not perfect and has made mistakes, but it is a morally good country. Israel is a beacon of democracy, stability and progress in a volatile region of the world, yet it is the only nation on earth whose right to exist is questioned and is held to an extremely high double standard: a standard that no other nation has ever attained. With the astonishing rebirth of Israel, its people speak the same language, believe in the same God, and share the same morals and values of the ethical monotheism that they gifted to humanity millennia ago. The nations that had attacked and dispersed ancient Israel in antiquity are long gone, but the Jewish people have survived. The Jewish people’s extremely strong attachment to the land of their ancestors never faded despite the passing of twenty centuries and persecution more severe and prolonged than any nation has ever suffered. No other nation has ever been forced out of its homeland and returned to rebuild it. I would like to review why it’s essential for all people of goodwill to defend Israel’s reputation against those who seek to spread lies and besmirch the miraculous, against all odds, resurrection of the Jewish commonwealth following a 2,000-year diaspora. Israel’s 75th anniversary marked the Jewish nation’s rebirth in its ancient ancestral homeland.
